Components That Make for Great Sound<\/b><\/h3>\n

The T2 Super Phono comes equipped with a pre-installed Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge, handcrafted in Japan. It accurately reproduces instruments and vocals, while the diamond stylus ensures a clean, balanced, and musical sound. If desired, the stylus can later be upgraded to a higher-end Sumiko Oyster series stylus.<\/span><\/p>\n

The massive tempered glass platter provides weight and stability and suppresses unwanted resonance. It is complemented by a longer, one-piece 9\u2033 aluminum tonearm with an integrated headshell and a precision, low-friction bearing. A new spring-loaded anti-skate mechanism simplifies setup and improves needle tracking. The chassis is constructed without plastic parts or hollow cavities to prevent unnecessary internal vibrations.<\/span><\/p>\n

High-quality phono preamp<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Super Phono differs from the base T2 model in that it features a built-in phono preamp based on the design of the standalone \u201cPro-Ject Phono Box S2.\u201d This means that the preamp is significantly higher quality than those typically built into amplifiers or receivers. The turntable can be connected directly to powered speakers or an amplifier with a standard line input\u2014no additional equipment required. If you decide to use an external phono preamp in the future, the built-in preamp can be disabled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each T2 Super Phono is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in Europe.
