The Ortofon Concorde MKII Elite is the flagship of the Concorde range – a premium Moving Magnet cartridge that achieves a level of sound quality never before found in DJ-categorized cartridges. It brings genuine HiFi performance into the iconic click-on Concorde format.

HiFi diamond in a gold-plated body

At its heart sits a Nude Elliptical diamond – a stylus type normally reserved for HiFi cartridges – mounted on a rigid 750 µm aluminium-magnesium cantilever developed exclusively for the Elite. Its slim profile follows groove oscillations with exceptional accuracy, extracting intricate details and tracking even the highest frequencies. The special-molded body features real gold plating.

Engineered in every detail

A newly formulated rubber suspension ensures superior tracking and a richer, fuller sound with carefully damped brightness, while a specially developed coil system delivers a powerful 8.5 mV output. The result: warm tone, big dynamics and a charged soundstage that reviewers have compared to Ortofon’s acclaimed 2M Bronze and Black HiFi models.

How does the Elite differ from the Club? The Elite uses a Nude Elliptical diamond (a true HiFi stylus type), an exclusive aluminium-magnesium cantilever and a new suspension – delivering detail and dynamics beyond any other Concorde.

Can I scratch with the Elite? No – the fine Nude Elliptical stylus is optimized for accurate listening, not heavy back-cueing or scratching. For turntablism, choose the Scratch model.

Is it good for digitizing vinyl? Excellent – its stable tracking, low distortion and high detail retrieval make it ideal for transferring records to digital.
