ABOUT THE CARTRIDGE

Maximum scratch performance

The Ortofon Concorde MKII Scratch is engineered specifically for turntablism, scratching and back-cueing. With a class-leading 120 μm tracking ability, it stays locked in the groove through the most aggressive routines – chirps, transforms, crabs and beyond.

Explosive output for deep bass

An extra-high 10 mV output makes the Scratch perfect for music with deep bass frequencies. Expect solid low-end reproduction, extended highs and an energetic sound that cuts through any battle or club set. It is the cartridge of choice for DMC-level turntablists worldwide.

Gentle where it counts

The spherical stylus preserves more of the groove during back-cueing and scratching than elliptical profiles, protecting your battle records through countless practice sessions. And with the integrated-headshell Concorde design, the cartridge clicks straight onto any bayonet (SME) tonearm – no alignment, no screws.

Who is the Concorde MKII Scratch for?

Battle DJs, turntablists and anyone whose style is aggressive and hands-on. Thanks to its outstanding tracking, it also handles worn or poorly pressed records with ease – making it a surprisingly capable everyday cartridge too.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Scratch different from the DJ model? Higher output (10 mV vs 6 mV) and superior 120 μm tracking ability – built specifically to survive aggressive scratching without skipping.

Why a spherical stylus for scratching? Spherical tips preserve more of the groove during back-cueing and scratching, protecting your records over thousands of passes.

Do I need to align or adjust it? No. The stylus is factory-fitted – twist the cartridge onto the tonearm and set 4 g tracking force.

Can I replace the stylus? Yes – swap it in seconds with a new Stylus CC MKII Scratch.
