Expanding the limits of audio technology
The Audio-Technica story began in 1962 in Tokyo, when audio electronics engineer Hideo Matsushita began manufacturing and continuously developing universal needles for home turntables. The inventor's goal of quality sound for the whole home became the motto of Audio-Technica, the largest manufacturer of turntables and needles. Its needles and turntables are renowned for their reliability and durability, and the needles have become the standard for many other brands of turntable manufacturers, which are equipped with Audio-Technica needles.
