M.K.Čiurlionis & Roe Deers - The Great Čiurlys

The Great Tern - is an unconventional, conceptual symphony album, where electronic music merges with the artistic spirit of M. K. Čiurlionis. It was created by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis & Roe Deers - a fusion of Lithuanian classical inspirations and contemporary electronic sound, developed by DJ and producer Roe Deers (Liudas Lazauskas) as a deeper form of dialogue with Čiurlionis' work rather than a simple reinterpretation. It is an electronic symphonic composition based on the idea of transmitting Čiurlionis creative atmosphere through modern sound architectures - analogue synthesisers, electronic tracks and synchronous dramaturgy. The tension, the cosmic and natural metaphors and the organised sound field create a kind of "sonic painting" that invites you to listen to it from beginning to end as a single story.
