About the product
Pro-Ject E1.2 Designed for those who want a high-quality first turntable without complicated setup. Each turntable is pre-adjusted at the factory, so all you have to do is install the platter and belt and connect it to your audio system.
Behind the minimalist design lies a carefully thought-out construction—high-quality components, precise assembly, and features more commonly found in higher-end turntables.
Components That Make for Great Sound
E1.2 comes with Pick it MM E An MM-type cartridge developed in collaboration with Ortofon. Its lightweight design and neodymium magnet help it accurately track the record grooves, while the diamond stylus ensures clean, balanced, and musical playback.
The 730-gram damped aluminum platter is carefully balanced at the factory to ensure stable rotation and minimize unwanted vibrations. It is complemented by a CNC-machined aluminum tonearm with a precision gimbal-type bearing and an oversized counterweight, which help ensure precise tracking and stable operation.
Connects to your audio system
E1.2 is designed to be connected to an amplifier with a phono input or to a separate phono preamp. This allows you to choose a phono preamp that suits your audio system and needs. If you want to connect your turntable directly to powered speakers or an amplifier without a phono input, you should choose E1.2 Phono the version with a built-in phono preamp.
Made in Europe
Each E1.2 is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in the Czech Republic. A stainless steel spindle in a bronze bearing ensures smooth rotation, while vibration-damping feet help reduce vibrations transmitted from the surrounding environment. The set also includes an acrylic dust cover.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate phono preamp? Yes. This E1.2 version does not have a built-in phono preamp, so it must be connected to an amplifier with a phono input or used with a separate phono preamp. If you want to connect your turntable directly to powered speakers or an amplifier without a phono input, choose the E1.2 Phono version.
Does the record player need to be broken in before use? No. Every E1.2 is pre-adjusted at the factory—the tonearm and tracking force are set up and ready to go. All you have to do is put on the cartridge, thread the belt, and plug in the turntable.
What sets the E1.2 apart in its class? The E1.2 comes equipped with a Pick it MM E MM cartridge, a 730-gram damped aluminum platter, and a CNC-machined aluminum tonearm with a precision gimbal-type bearing. These components ensure stable operation, precise tracking, and high-quality vinyl playback.
Can the needle be replaced? Yes. The Pick it MM E cartridge needle is replaceable. Like all turntable needles, it wears out naturally, so it’s recommended to replace it after about 1,000–2,000 hours of playback to maintain good sound quality and preserve the records.
Where was this record player manufactured? Every E1.2 is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in the Czech Republic—from the preparation of the chassis to final assembly and quality control.
