The Pro-Ject T2W is a turntable for those who want high-quality vinyl sound and modern wireless convenience. Unlike Bluetooth turntables, the T2W streams music over a Wi-Fi network—so you can send the sound from your record to another room or your entire home audio system, even to multiple devices at once.

Components That Make for Great Sound

The T2W comes equipped with a pre-installed Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge, handcrafted in Japan. It accurately reproduces instruments and vocals, and the diamond stylus ensures a clean, balanced, and musical sound. If desired, the stylus can later be upgraded to a higher-end model from the Sumiko Oyster series.

The solid tempered glass platter provides weight and stability and dampens unwanted resonance. It is complemented by a longer, one-piece 9″ aluminum tonearm with an integrated cartridge. A new spring-loaded anti-skate mechanism simplifies setup and improves the cartridge’s performance. The chassis is constructed without plastic parts or hollow cavities to prevent unnecessary internal vibrations.

WiFi streaming

At the heart of the T2W is Wi-Fi streaming technology. Using the Pro-Ject Control app, you can choose which device to stream audio to: a hi-fi streamer, a network receiver, or streaming speakers. Music can be streamed in a standard format (for maximum compatibility) or, with compatible high-end network players, in 24-bit/48 kHz lossless quality. The system also supports multi-room playback.

Important: The analog RCA output is completely isolated from the Wi-Fi circuitry. Audio transmitted via a cable remains purely analog—undigitized and without any delay—just like on any other Pro-Ject turntable.

High-quality phono preamp

The T2W features a high-quality built-in phono preamp—the best Pro-Ject has ever offered in a turntable. This allows you to connect the turntable directly to powered speakers or an amplifier with a standard line input, without the need for additional equipment.

Made in Europe

Every T2W is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in Europe. A hardened steel spindle in a bronze bushing ensures smooth rotation, while vibration-damping feet help reduce vibrations transmitted from the environment. The set also includes an acrylic dust cover and high-quality phono cables specially designed for Pro-Ject.

How do Wi-Fi speakers differ from Bluetooth speakers? WiFi transmits audio over a home network, so the signal can reach multiple devices at once, work in multiple rooms, and offer higher (lossless) quality than standard Bluetooth. Bluetooth works only between two devices and over shorter distances.

Do I need a separate phono preamp? No. The T2W has a high-quality built-in phono preamp, so you can connect your turntable directly to active speakers or an amplifier with a standard line input.

Does Wi-Fi affect analog audio? No. The analog RCA output is completely separate from the Wi-Fi component—audio connected via a cable remains purely analog, undigitized, and without any delay.

Will T2W work with my sound system? The T2W is compatible with many UPnP network devices and network players. Before purchasing, it’s worth checking Pro-Ject’s compatibility list, especially if you want to use a lossless (FLAC) stream—only some high-end network players support it.

Can the needle be replaced? Yes. The Sumiko Rainier stylus is replaceable, and you can improve the sound quality by purchasing a higher-end stylus from the Sumiko Oyster series. Like all turntable needles, it wears out naturally, so it’s recommended to replace it as a preventive measure.
