About the product
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO Phono is designed for those who are looking to move beyond an entry-level turntable and want higher-quality sound and a more robust build. Each turntable is pre-adjusted at the factory, so all you need to do is install the platter, attach the belt, and connect it to your audio system.
Behind the clean design lies a carefully thought-out construction—high-quality components, precise assembly, and features more commonly found in higher-end turntables.
Components That Make for Great Sound
The T1 EVO Phono comes with a pre-installed Ortofon MM-type cartridge. It precisely tracks the grooves of the record, and the diamond stylus ensures a clean, balanced, and musical sound.
The solid tempered glass platter drum provides weight and stability and suppresses unwanted resonances. It is complemented by a one-piece aluminum tonearm with a quiet, low-friction bearing, which helps ensure precise tracking and stable operation. The chassis is constructed without plastic parts or hollow cavities to prevent unwanted vibrations from occurring inside.
Connects to your audio system
The built-in, switchable phono preamp allows the T1 EVO Phono to be connected directly to active speakers or an amplifier with a standard line input—without the need for a separate preamp. If you decide to use an external phono preamp in the future, you can disable the built-in one. This way, the turntable can grow along with your audio system.
Made in Europe
Each T1 EVO Phono is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in Europe. A hardened steel spindle in a bronze bushing ensures smooth rotation, while vibration-damping feet help reduce vibrations transmitted from the environment. The package also includes an acrylic dust cover and high-quality phono cables specially designed by Pro-Ject.
About Pro-Ject
"Pro-Ject Audio Systems" is a brand founded in Austria in 1991 and is today considered one of the world’s best-known manufacturers of vinyl turntables. Pro-Ject’s philosophy is simple: high-quality analog sound should be accessible to everyone. All turntables are assembled in Europe, and even the more affordable models incorporate features typically found in much more expensive units. The T1 EVO Phono perfectly embodies this approach—it is a high-quality Hi-Fi turntable built to last.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate phono preamp? No. The T1 EVO Phono has a built-in, switchable phono preamp, so you can connect your turntable directly to active speakers or an amplifier with a standard line input. If you want to use an external preamp in the future, you can disable the built-in one.
Does the record player need to be broken in before use? No. Every T1 EVO Phono is pre-adjusted at the factory—the tonearm and tracking force are set up and ready to go. All you have to do is put on the platter, attach the belt, and plug in the turntable.
What sets the T1 EVO Phono apart in its class? The T1 EVO Phono comes equipped with an Ortofon stylus, a solid tempered glass platter, a one-piece aluminum tonearm, a sturdy chassis with no plastic parts, and a built-in phono preamp. These components ensure stable operation, precise tracking, and high-quality vinyl playback.
Can the needle be replaced? Yes. The stylus needs to be replaced. Like all turntable needles, it wears out naturally, so it’s recommended to replace it after about 1,000–2,000 hours of playback to maintain good sound quality and protect the records.
Where was this record player manufactured? Every T1 EVO Phono is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in Europe—from the preparation of the chassis to final assembly and quality control.
