The Pro-Ject E1 BT is designed for those who want a high-quality turntable with the convenience of wireless connectivity, but without complicated setup. Each turntable is pre-calibrated at the factory, so all you have to do is install the platter and belt and connect it to your audio system or wireless speakers.

Components That Make for Great Sound

The E1 BT comes equipped with a pre-installed Audio-Technica MM-type cartridge. It precisely tracks the grooves of the record, and the diamond stylus ensures clean, balanced, and musical sound reproduction.

The anti-resonant ABS platter with edge-mounting solutions provides a stable foundation for the platter and reduces unwanted vibrations. It is complemented by a lightweight aluminum tonearm, which helps ensure precise tracking and stable performance.

Wireless and Wired Connections

The E1 BT has a Bluetooth transmitter, so you can connect the turntable to wireless speakers, headphones, or an amplifier without any cables. Bluetooth supports the high-quality aptX codec, so the sound remains detailed even when streaming wirelessly. The built-in phono preamp allows for wired connection—directly to active speakers or an amplifier with a line input.

Made in Europe

Every E1 BT is hand-assembled at the Pro-Ject factory in Europe. The motor is isolated from the chassis to prevent its vibrations from being transmitted to the stylus, and vibration-damping feet help reduce vibrations transmitted from the environment. The set also includes an acrylic dust cover.

Do I need a separate phono preamp? No. The E1 BT has a built-in phono preamp, so it can be connected directly to active speakers or an amplifier. The turntable can also be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Is the sound quality of Bluetooth good? Yes. The E1 BT supports the high-quality aptX codec, so the sound remains detailed even over a wireless connection. To experience aptX quality, your speakers or headphones must also support it. For the best quality, a wired connection is always recommended.

Does the record player need to be broken in before use? No. Every E1 BT is pre-adjusted at the factory—the tonearm and tracking force are set up and ready to go. All you have to do is put on the cartridge, attach the belt, and plug in the turntable.

Can the needle be replaced? Yes. The stylus needs to be replaced. Like all turntable styluses, it wears out naturally, so it’s recommended to replace it after about 1–2 years to maintain good sound quality and protect the records.
